The Sun Valley Sharks.
Summer-league swimming for ages 5-16 in a fun, no-pressure environment.
All children ages 5-16 are encouraged to join the Sharks. We compete in an area summer league alongside Lexington Town Pool, Paint Rock, Winchester Boat Club, Winchester Swim & Tennis, and Winchester Country Club. Partial participation is welcome; plenty of swimmers work the season around camps and travel.
The season
How it works
Practices
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings by age group: ages 5-6 in the kiddie pool at 9:15, ages 7-11 and 12-16 at 8:30 or 9:15. Pre-season evening practices start mid-June.
Meets
Regular season runs June 29 to July 31, with meets on Wednesday afternoons and championships the last Saturday in July.
Gear
Swimmers wear a black racing suit; the team issues a Sharks cap.
